Travers Reservoir

This lake is pretty much a sister lake of Lake McGregor, connected to it on the north, with pretty much the same fish but most are a little smaller. It has fair fishing for Walleye but much better fishing for Pike. This is where I caught all of mine when I was about ten years old. The limit for Walleye is three due to the decreasing number of Walleye in Alberta (this figure might change - please read the updated regulations). I recommend using fairly large shiny spoons on this lake as well as Lake McGregor. The Pike's here seem to go after anything that catches their eyes. It carries pike up to 20 pounds, whitefish up to 5 pounds and has occasional good walleye fishing. It is located in Little Bow Provincial Park and can be reached by taking Highway 23 to Secondary Highway 529 east.
Attached to the Reservoir is the Provincial Park LITTLE BOW. A water-skier and windsurfer will cross occasionally the angler's path.
